GM Power Management Services are based in Northampton, in the East Midlands, but serve the whole of the UK as well as many international clients! The company was created in 2011, in recognition of the rapidly expanding infrastructure and energy sectors, and the associated need for specialist HV Consultancy Services.

As a company we specialise in the Delivery of HV Power Projects specialising in the construction/execution phase of large on and offshore HV Substations. We offer Project Management, Package Management and Client Representatives to act as the eyes and ears of our clients during construction. We offer design management experience from low voltage to 400kV. With over 30 years’ experience constructing AIS and GIS HV Substations at voltages from 33 – 400kV. This combined with substantial experience in the Project Delivery Management of the installation and commissioning of MSCDN’s (Mechanically Switched Capacitors with Damping Network), SVC’s (Static VAR Compensators), GTO SVC’S (Gate Turn off Static VAR Compensator) and RSVC’s (Relocatable Static VAR Compensator) having relocated a number of these systems around the grid in the Southwest for National Grid.  Our most recent experience includes the Construction Project Management of the Sellindge/France HVDC Interconnector rebuild. This combined with a good understanding of international design standards and practices such as IEC, ANSI, IEEE, NEC and NFPA, our engineers have worked on Projects around the globe.
